Description

Thyme Growing Seeds

Thyme is known for both its culinary and medicinal uses. Thymus vulgaris has a slightly spicy flavour and nicely complements meat, fish, stews and soups. Thyme's flowers, oil and leaves can all be used for medicinal purposes.

Thyme seeds can take between 70-90 days before reaching full maturity. Thyme is a perennial which can grow up to 30cm in height. It has narrow greyish-green leaves that can be freshly added to cooking. The plant does attract bees, so bear this in mind when planting. Thyme is a hardy herb that can withstand harsh environments. It will happily be planted in rock gardens and borders without complaint.
