Description

Watercress Seeds

Watercress has a flavour that’s reminiscent of hot mustard and is often used fresh to garnish salads.

Planted from seed, watercress can take 50-60 days to reach maturity. Due to its floating stems, watercress is trailing and low growing. This perennial can reach a height of 50cm. Watercress is best grown in slow-flowing water. It can also be grown in the garden, but you’ll want to ensure the soil is wet at all times. When germinating watercress, raise seedlings in a container which is filled with seed raising mix, then submerge container in water to half of its depth. When growing watercress in flowing water, germinate the seeds in a dish first, before moving them to their final positions.
