Description

Onion Chive Seeds For Growing Herbs

Onion chives from seeds to full maturity can take around 60-90 days. They are a perennial and can grow up to 25cm in height. They can be used as a garnish or more prominently within the dish itself. Onion chives are commonly used in sauces, dips, casseroles, salads, soups and stews. As the name suggests, the leaves have a mild onion flavour so you can easily add more zest to plain dishes and salads when required.

The herb grows very slowly spreading clumps and the plant’s leaves are green, hollow and tubular. For best results, we recommend planting them straight into the ground. You can harvest the leaves when needed.
