Description

Dill Seeds For Growing Herbs

Dill is an aromatic plant that is quite similar to fennel. It grows with slender stems and delicate, aromatic foliage. The leaves from dill plants are often used in fish or egg dishes, but they can also be used as a garnish for dips and salads. Chopping up the leaves will help to release more flavour, which is always recommended before sprinkling dill on top of a salad. The seeds can also be used within cooking and you’ll often find them added to bread, soups, tea and preserves.

Expect dill seeds to grow up to 90 cm in total, so ensure you have enough space to accommodate this plant when choosing where to place it in your home. It’s a very hardy plant, which requires full sun and moist soil for its growth. Expect dill to take 60 days to reach full maturity, with germination taking between 7 and 21 days.
