What's in the Box?

This no-fuss kit includes everything you need to get growing (minus the soil – more on that below):

Why You'll Love Growing Wheatgrass

With our Wheatgrass Grow Kit, you'll enjoy:

  • Fresh, nutrient-packed juice – straight from your bench to your blender
  • Complete control – know exactly what goes into your superfood
  • Cost savings – way cheaper than buying wheatgrass shots
  • The satisfaction – there's nothing quite like growing your own!

A Quick Heads Up

This is our starter kit – you'll need to supply your own growing medium (like organic potting mix or coco fibre). If you'd prefer an all-in-one solution, check out our Wheatgrass Grow Kit 3 which comes with everything including the kitchen sink (well, almost!).

Ready to Grow?

Join thousands of Aussies who are growing their own wheatgrass at home. With our simple kit and foolproof instructions, you'll be harvesting your first crop in about 7-10 days. Give it a go – your body will thank you!

Note: Wheatgrass doesn't actually contain wheat gluten, so it's generally fine for most people with gluten sensitivities (but as always, check with your health professional if unsure).

Help and Advice

No — you don’t need a sprouter to grow seeds. You can use a simple glass jar with a cloth secured over the top, a kitchen sieve, or even a breathable fabric bag. However, dedicated seed sprouters are very convenient, as they make rinsing, draining, and airflow easier, helping you get more reliable results.

Coco fibre (coir) is a natural, sustainable growing medium made from coconut husk. It holds moisture well, drains evenly, and is a clean, soil-free option for growing microgreens and wheatgrass indoors.

Sprouts are eaten just a few days after germination. They don’t need soil or light — you simply soak and rinse the seeds until small shoots appear. The whole sprout (root, seed, and shoot) is eaten.

Microgreens are cultivated in mediums like soil or coco fibre and are harvested shortly after their first true leaves (cotyledons) emerge. They're cut just above the surface of the soil. Popular with chefs, they are often used as garnishes or as flavourful toppings for a variety of dishes.

About 2 tablespoons (30 g) of seed is enough for our 600 ml sprouter jar. In 5 days, this will grow to fill the entire jar and yield around 200 g of fresh sprouts

For larger seeds (like chickpeas, mung beans, adzuki, lentils), use about 4 tablespoons (60 g) in the same jar. These swell to about 150-200g of fresh sprouts.

Our Wheatgrass Grow Kit 3 has everything you need to grow fresh wheatgrass at home. It includes grow trays, drip trays, coco fibre growing medium, wheatgrass seeds, natural fertiliser, and a paper liner — no extra equipment required. Just add water and light, and you’ll be harvesting in about 7–10 days
